Commissions

Commissioned Works
If you would like to commission a painting by me, I enjoy doing portraits, totems (or animals you have a special relationship with), seascapes, landscapes and abstract art. Paintings are done in oil on cotton or linen canvas, or with watercolor on paper and take 4 – 6 months from commission to delivery.

SORRY, MY COMMISSION SLATE IS FULL and I am not accepting any new commissions at this time. Please email me if you would like to be placed on my waitlist.

The commission process starts with you providing me with photos (at least three) of what you have in mind and a description of what you would like – via email. If I feel a connection to your vision (and perhaps I have suggestions), we will then decide on the size and a 30% deposit is required.

I then do a very basic sketch, just to show my basic ideas, placement, cropping, size, etc. and upon your approval, I begin painting. You are not allowed to see the painting until I am finished. Why? Because doing a commissioned painting is a spiritual process for me.

I connect with your soul and I paint what YOU need, or what would delight your soul. So my paintings are not just about creating a pleasing image. There is an alchemy to them, that either speaks to your soul, or gives you support for the next steps on your soul’s journey. I didn’t decide to paint this way. I just began doing commissions and this is what happened.

One client walked in the door, looked at her painting, and burst into tears. The painting was a landscape that depicted the difficult time she’d been going through, but also the magic that awaited her if she kept going – and how it was ALL good, because together the crags and the flow created a beautiful painting.

I felt a bit ‘iffy’ about a painting I did for another client’s husband (a gift from her to him) – an interpretation of Ganesh – because I knew it would spiritually challenge him. And I wasn’t sure he was ready for it. I explained this to his wife when I shipped it and told her not to be surprised if he didn’t want to hang it up yet. I advised her to just be patient and when he’s ready he will put the painting up. Turns out he loved it on sight.

If this sounds like the kind of art you’d like to enjoy, just email me and we’ll get things rolling!

Guarantee
If you do not LOVE the finished painting, after I send you a photo of the finished work, you do not have to purchase it and I will refund your deposit 100%. Art is a joyous process that involves a connection of souls and I would never want you to pay for a painting that you didn’t absolutely adore and value deeply. Because I do not deem a painting finished until I love it so much I’d be happy for you to refuse it – you do not need to feel bad for not wanting it! Believe me, if a painting was ever refused, I would be truly happy to keep it.

Prints & Giclees
I also have a few of my paintings available to purchase as prints or giclees (printed on canvas), or even as a greeting card. So if you’re on a budget, check out my prints…
